Product Description The CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer is a great way to keep your legs in tip-top condition during the off season. While many cyclists dread the indoor training season, ensuring proper bike set up will make any workout more comfortable and enjoyable. This trainer features a new larger flywheel with twice the inertia for an improved, road-like feel. The power-band technology offers the widest resistance range--from easy spins to lung-burning climbs--without ever touching the unit. The infinite resistance curve ensures increased wattage as you increase speed for realistic statistical analysis at the end of your ride. The Fluid 2 is surprisingly quiet, and the self-cooling mechanisms--including a patented fan design--keep the unit performing better, longer. Includes a training DVD to help keep you motivated during your indoor exercise.

"WITH QUALITY, YOU ONLY PAY ONCE" February 20, 2010 M. Chrisman (Southern Illinois) Both master distance runners, we are fair weather cyclists. However, the buzz from indoor Cyclefit classes has always interested us in getting a trainer for home use. We kept putting it off because we were not convinced a trainer could replicate the workout we got on our fitness bikes. Two weeks ago, research led me to order the CycleOps Fluid Trainer from another vendor (who threw in a training video). A day later, I had a a close encounter with a crack in the sidewalk during an eight miler. Two days into a RICE regimen to heal a sprained tendon, this arrived and my sweet husband put it together in no time at all. His bike was way too tall for me, so we put my Softride up - perfect - quiet - and my leg loved the therapy.
However, we quickly discovered the front wheel needed support so we rigged up two bricks which was okay for the first ride, but not great, so good old Amazon Prime had the stackable climbing block here only two days later. The real rides Race day DVD training was terrific to get started. Not a mass start rider, it was fun to follow along with the racers and certainly a great workout. The climbing block is essential - it allows out of the seat, big gear hill climbing, and offers a degree of stability at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a high end indoor cycle.
Only one week and four good rides later, I am back running on the roads, withOUT pain, and fired up to continue the "road regimen" of trainer cycling until the warmer temps arrive. Cycle Ops ROCKS!
Quality Trainer February 15, 2010 K. Beilke (Minnesota) I asked my local TREK dealer about indoor trainers, he had experience with the CycleOps Fluid 2 and suggested it. He did not have any of the TREK version in stock, so we searched ebay and found a great deal on one. Assembly was easy, but you do have to install the enclosed rear axle into your bike (easy) to fit it to the trainer. Not a problem. It is realistic feeling resistance, about the only thing we did was raise the front tire so it didn;t feel like you were riding down hill all the time (since the rear tire is slightly elevated). Very happy with this product, allows use of the bike during winter months and does so with a very real resistance.
Quiet February 14, 2010 Art by Bernadette This product works very well, nice and quiet. A bit tricky understanding how to put together, easy once I figured it out.
Amazingly Quiet!!! February 11, 2010 D. Scott (Leesburg, VA) I normally don't write reviews, but after using the CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer for several weeks, I can't believe how much I like it! With the DC Blizzard of 2010 keeping me from training outside, it has been wonderful! I have it in the basement where I can watch my two kids play while I ride. With the trainer angled into the corner (to keep the kids from surprising me from behind), I am able to watch TV without turning up the volume even slightly. I had a wind trainer years ago and I am amazed at how quiet this trainer is! And it has a very realistic road-feel! I would highly recommend this trainer!!
Good cycle equipment, Bad assemble instructions February 5, 2010 ACS (Massachusetts) I received the CycleOps and climbing block on schedule. I am a mtn biker, so I changed my knobby wheel with a training wheel and it's sturdy, quiet, no vibration and easy to use. I use the trainer 4 days a week.
However, I gave it a 4 star rating because the assembly instruction was not clear, super confussing. I had to go online at other sites and complete the set up based on other customers whom purchased the same or similar item.
I love it and would definetly recommend this product to friends.
